Monitoring PA Expirations

The PA Expirations page gives you an at-a-glance view of prior authorizations that are coming up for renewal, grouped by urgency so you can prioritize outreach and continuation evaluations.

Accessing PA Expirations

From the left navigation, select PA Expirations. The page loads all prior authorizations expiring within the next 90 days across your business unit.

Click Refresh in the upper right to reload the data at any time.

Reading the KPI Cards

Three summary cards appear at the top of the page:

CardColorWhat it shows
Expiring ≤ 14 daysRedPAs that expire within 14 days — most urgent
Expiring 15–30 daysYellowPAs expiring between 15 and 30 days from today
Expiring 31–90 daysGreenPAs expiring between 31 and 90 days from today

The numbers in each card reflect the total across all pages, not just the current page of the table.

The Expirations Table

Below the KPI cards, the Prior Authorizations table lists every upcoming expiration. The table is sorted by days until expiration by default, so the most urgent records appear first.

Columns

Therapy StatusWhether the patient has active paid claims for this drug — Active or No active claims

Filtering

Use the Show patients without current therapy toggle above the table to include patients who no longer have active claims for the drug. This toggle is off by default because those patients may not need a continuation evaluation.

Pagination

Use the page-size selector and the previous/next arrows at the bottom of the table to page through results.

Next Step: Initiating a Continuation

Click any row in the table to open the continuation wizard for that PA. See Starting a Continuation Evaluation for step-by-step guidance.
